Nebulizing Solution Compatibility
A mesh nebulizer should only be used with nebulizing solutions that are permitted by the product instructions and recommended by a doctor or pharmacist. Liquid compatibility depends on the device design and the formulation’s ingredients, viscosity, particle content, uniformity, and the instructions for use.
Do not use ordinary drinking water for testing or nebulization, including purified water, distilled water, mineral water, tap water, or boiled water. These liquids are not intended for nebulization therapy and must not replace a prescribed or recommended nebulizing solution.
Liquids That Must Not Be Added Without Professional Advice
To avoid reduced nebulizing performance, mesh blockage, device damage, or inhalation risks, do not add:
- Essential oils, aromatherapy liquids, vegetable oils, or other oily liquids;
- Milk, beverages, syrups, or other viscous liquids;
- Herbal decoctions, herbal infusions, or dissolved herbal granules;
- Ordinary suspensions with visible particles, sediment, or non-uniform dispersion;
- Emulsions, milky liquids, or other non-uniform formulations;
- Liquids made by dissolving tablets, capsules, or powders;
- Injectable, oral, or other medicines not specifically labeled for nebulized inhalation;
- Alcohol, disinfectants, cleaning agents, or liquids from unknown sources.
Please note: some prescription medicines are specially formulated as inhalation suspensions. Whether such a medicine is compatible with this device must be confirmed by the medicine instructions, device instructions, and a healthcare professional. Do not determine suitability based only on whether a liquid is described as a suspension.
